Day 4 – Give us a ring…

After breakfast we had another in room workout for about 20 minutes.  Then we hit the pool.

Amy was reading and I was getting pretty antsy,

so I convinced her to go out kayaking in the lagoon which was awesome.  Looking back up at the resort and the mountains from the water was sweet. 

After our kayak ride, we had lunch at the Bar – We ordered a turkey club and Ahi Sashimi to share.   We had to send back the club  in exchange for a burger.  The sandwich was pretty gross (but I ate the fries)…The turkey wasn’t turkey, and the bacon was all white (and it had runny egg)…Sashimi was good, and so was the burger.

After lunch, Tony went snorkeling and came back happy as a clam.

We had a happy hour at the bungalow and then walked into town to pick up a bottle of vodka and some bottled waters.  Tony totally wore his fanny pack…

At the market, we ran into the couple from Seattle…

For dinner we decided to go to the Pizza place to the left of the Pearl Resort.  There is one spot about a 7 minute walk to the right, and another that is about 15 minutes to the left of our place.  The concierge recommended the left, so we were off.  It was called Lucianno’s and it was a little hole in the wall.  The owner of the place did some crazy cat noises and soon Tony was joining him in a weird noise off.  It was pretty funny because all of the staff at the restaurant only spoke french.  We shared a Small Chorizo pizza (it was about 14″), Amy ordered a mixed green salad, and we each had some local Tahitian Beers.  For desert we had a Nutella, Banana, and sugar crepe.  When the bill arrived, we realized they didn’t take credit card and all we had was a $100 bill.  Figuring out the exchange was pretty funny.  Tony did some beatboxing and the owner gave us a deal on the food.

After our walk home, Tony was asleep as soon as he hit the pillow.  Amy stayed up and started her new book “Twenties Girl” by Sopia Kinsella.
